What is Lip Define?


Lip Define is a treatment that uses PDO threads. PDO threads are tiny medical-grade polydioxanone threads doctors insert into the skin using a thin, needle-like instrument. The same type of material that make dissolvable sutures makes this thread. They stimulate collagen production in the skin, resulting in firmer, more elastic skin.

  • Does Lip Define hurt?

    Our injector will make sure you are nice and numb before receiving this treatment, however, you may feel some discomfort!

  • How long does a Lip Define last?

    A Lip Define Treatment with PDO threads produce great, long lasting results. Typicall results are 1-2 years with some clients seeing results up to 3 years. The collagen stimulation and production caused by the PDO threads help maintain this treatment. 

  • Any downtime after treatment?

    Everyone is different- some clients have no effects and others who tend to bruise and swell. It really depends on each individuals body.

     Hylauronic Acid  fillers are used,   which is what makes them plump. It is totally normal if you experience swelling post treatment. 

     Your lips may be swollen for a few days, up to a week after your injections. It may be something that you will notice, but most other people won’t. A week after your injections you will really be able to see your true results.  People who are prone to bruising may notice bruising on or around the lips after injections. Stay hydrated, and avoid Ibuprofen and alcohol before your appointment.

  • Will this make my lips plumper?

  • Should I do anything before treatment?

    To minimize your chances of bruising, we recommend avoiding ibuprofen, alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 3 days before your injections.
